Well, Did You Evah?

The Christmas ads are really slugging it out now, and it suddenly struck me the sheer genius of getting the slutty voice of M&S, Dervla Kirwan, to play the baddie on Christmas Day last year in Doctor Who. Personally, if being the voice of Christmas ads was the audition for being the Xmas baddie in Who, I'd have to choose the Sugababes as the stars for this year. After all, they've actually regenerated into a completely new band, their ubiquitous reality show montage song Here Come The Girls is a work of pure evil, and it would be interesting to explore quite how bad ver Babes would have to get before Boots would drop them from their now annual office party campaign. I'm thinking that even playing Nazi space paedos might not be enough to make Boots let them go. This Christmas campaign will be with us forever.

Yet it's the Iceland ads that are the real classics of the season this year. They're beyond parody, especially as they have chosen the sneering 'Well, Did You Evah' as their theme song, so that even the 'stars' themselves are taking the piss of the spread on show. Well done everyone.
